Why did you choose Haverford?
I chose Haverford because of the community. Although we are a small school, we have a diverse student body that is tightly knit. When I first visited, I noticed that students would frequently have one-on-one interactions with professors and seeing that relationship between students and professors really drew me in.
What is your favorite team experience?
My favorite team experience was when we went on a team spring break trip to Florida. Besides playing tennis and enjoying the weather, we had a chance as a team to go to Universal Studios. Going on rollercoasters with friends is something that can't be beat. Overall, being on break without any school work made it possible for the whole team to bond and become closer. There were definitely many memories made on that trip that I will never forget.
Why did you choose to play a sport in college?
Playing tennis in a team environment in high school was a very fun and rewarding experience. I thought by continuing to play tennis in a team environment, I would be able to learn new things and create new memories. Additionally, I figured it was a good way to stay active while meeting new people.
What does being a student-athlete mean to you?
Being a student-athlete is an honor to me. To be able to play the sport you love while getting a great education is a great privilege that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. The freedom to do something like this puts a smile on my face every day.
What advice would you give a high school student considering Haverford?
I would say visit Haverford and don't be afraid to ask questions. The student body is really passionate about Haverford and always willing to answer any questions you may have. I think doing this would really help you decide if Haverford is the right fit for you.
