SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced on Thursday that the Haverford College women's tennis team received an All-Academic Team award and had nine players achieve scholar-athlete status.

This marks the 11th consecutive year that the women's tennis team was honored with an ITA All-Academic Team award. To receive an All-Academic award, a team must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or above.

The Haverford scholar-athletes were Jordana Bloom, Kate Donches, Alex Ferrara, Abbey Flynn, Caitlin Gallagher, Olivia Rauss, Abby Payson, Jessica Liu and Robin Stopa. For student-athletes to earn an ITA Scholar-Athlete status they must be a varsity letter winner and have a grade point average of at least 3.50.

The Fords went to Centennial Conference final for the first time in program history in 2014 and finished the season with a 12-5 record. The 2014 season marked the fourth straight double-digit win season and sixth consecutive year in which the team had qualified for the conference tournament.
