Gallagher's stellar start earns Centennial tennis honor

LANCASTER, Pa. - Caitlin Gallagher's impressive start to the spring season earned the Haverford College sophomore recognition from the Centennial Conference as the league named Gallagher the women's tennis player of the week on Tuesday afternoon.

Gallagher, ranked 20th in singles in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic South Region, went 4-0 at top flight singles over the course of the week. The sparkling stretch included a three-set win over Marissa Cloutier of Albion College, the 19th-ranked player in the ITA Central Region. Undefeated in singles action so far this spring, Gallagher (5-0) also had a solid week as a member of the first doubles pairing that registered a 3-1 record.
