LANCASTER, Pa. – Sophomore Diana Perry scored the game-winner with one second remaining in Saturday's women's lacrosse contest at Dickinson College and that goal, along with eight others during the week, helped earn the Haverford College sophomore the Centennial Conference's offensive player of the week award as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Perry's free position goal at Dickinson gave the Fords an 11-10 victory to follow up on a 19-11 win over visiting Muhlenberg College on April 3. Perry scored five times in the win against the host Red Devils and four times in the home victory over the Mules. She also added two assists in the week.
Perry's nine-goal week lifts her season scoring total to 38 goals, easily outpacing a 25-goal freshman campaign last spring.
The Fords (9-2 overall, 3-1 Centennial) have won four straight and will try to extend the win streak Thursday with a trip to York, Pa., for a non-conference match-up against York College.
