Levinson earns honorable mention in EWFC Woman of the Year voting
HOBOKEN, N.J. – Haverford College senior foilist Amanda Levinson has earned Eastern Women's Fencing Conference (EWFC) Woman of the Year honorable mention honors in the league's postseason voting.
A psychology major, Levinson is joined on the honorable mention squad by Johns Hopkins University's Lauren Chinn, City College of New York's Sarah Jafferali, Yeshiva University's Elizabeth Penn, Stevens Institute of Technology's Meagan Ritter and Drew University's Amanda Rubin.
The 2010-11 EWFC Woman of the Year honor went to Hunter College senior Stella Shifrin.
Voted on by the EWFC's head coaches, the woman of the year honor -- in its fourth season of presentation -- recognizes the fencer who best combines excellence in academics, success in athletics and participation in extracurricular activities.
