Jen Ward '04 enters her eighth year as head coach at Haverford College in 2011-12.  She has led the Ford diamond girls to unprecedented success, collecting 121 career wins with four 20-win seasons.

In 2011, Jen DiCandilo, the starting third baseman for the Haverford College softball team, was presented the Archibald MacIntosh Award. DiCandilo is the first softball player to receive this honor in the award’s 48-year history. The Beta Rho Sigma alumni society has presented the award in MacIntosh’s honor to the top scholar-athlete in the first-year class at Haverford since 1964.

At the completion of the 2011 season, Ward had seven of her student-athletes named to the Centennial Conference all-academic list and two named to the all-conference roll. 

In 2006, Ward -- in just her second year at the helm -- led the Fords to a Centennial Conference title and a berth in the NCAA Division III national tournament. It also marked the first winning season in program history and Nora Springs '06 was named the Centennial Conference player of the year.

After winning 22 games in 2007, the Fords returned to the conference playoffs to begin a three-year playoff streak (going in 2008 and 2009 as well). 

In her capacity at Haverford, Ward also serves as the intercollegiate scheduling coordinator and assistant compliance coordinator.
