Softball ranked 22nd by NFCA

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) took notice of the Haverford College softball team's impressive start to the season as the Fords earned a spot in this week's Division III Top 25 poll.

Haverford, 9-3 on the season, ranks 22nd in the NFCA's week-four ranking with 30 points. Montclair State University remains in the top spot for the fourth consecutive week as the Red Hawks garnered first-place votes from all eight voting NFCA committee members.

The lone Centennial Conference representative in the poll, the Fords have already registered victories this season over three 2012 NCAA tournament participants--Rowan University, Denison University and The College of New Jersey.

Haverford returns to action on Thursday when it welcomes Eastern University to Class of '95 Field for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
