Stadler's 5K time earns performer of week honor in Centennial
LANCASTER, Pa. – Junior Christopher Stadler, who set a meet record in posting the nation's best time in the 5,000-meter run during Saturday's Seamus McElligott Invitational, was named the Centennial Conference's men's track performer of the week as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
Stadler clocked a winning time of 14 minutes, 23.36 seconds in the 5K at the annual McElligott meet which is hosted by Haverford at The Gary Lutnick Tennis and Track Center in Alumni Field House. His time shattered the previous meet record by a few tenths of a second shy of 30 seconds.
Tuesday's honor for the men's indoor track & field team marks the second consecutive week one of its team members was honored by the conference as Jordan Schilit earned the track performer of the week last Tuesday.
