Centennial names Cohen its player of the week

LANCASTER, Pa. – Brett Cohen averaged a double-double over a pair of Haverford College men's basketball games over the weekend and his efforts helped earn the senior the Centennial Conference's player of the week award, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

In Haverford's season opener Friday evening against Ithaca College, a Sweet 16 team last winter, Cohen registered a career-high 28 points and added a game-high 12 rebounds in the Fords' 77-67 win. He added a 16 point, 10 rebound performance Saturday during a 63-57 loss to Oglethorpe University.

With 562 career rebounds, Cohen ranks ninth all-time in program history and trails Sam Permutt's eighth-place total by just four and seventh place Dick Voith by 35.
