LANCASTER, Pa. – Cam Baker averaged 22.7 points per game in three outings last week which helped the senior guard from Haverford College earn the Centennial Conference's men's basketball player of the week honor as announced by the league Monday afternoon.
A clutch jumper -- two of his team-leading 18 points -- from Baker in the final minute of the Fords' game against visiting Washington College proved to be the game-winner in Thursday evening's conference match-up at Gooding Arena. He also led the team with 26 points in a weekend loss at McDaniel College after opening the week by sharing team-high honors with 24 against visiting Moravian College in a non-conference defeat.
Baker shot 63.6 percent from the floor for the week and averaged 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
The Centennial previously honored Baker with its player of the week award on Dec. 13, 2010.
