Bissey tabbed Centennial's player of week on offense

LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior Bryn Bissey has been named the Centennial Conference's field hockey offensive player of the week, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Bissey helped push the Fords to a 2-0 record last week by scoring four goals in wins at Misericordia University and Gettysburg College, netting the game-winner in both contests.

Against Misericordia, Bissey broke a 1-1 tie in the second half with her third goal of the year then added an insurance tally later in the half to make the final score 3-1.

Bissey notched a early goal on Saturday at Gettysburg before increasing the Fords' lead to 2-0 with her second marker before the half in Haverford's 3-1 victory.

With six goals and 12 points on the year, Bissey is leading the Fords' attack.

Katy Schlechtweg, Dickinson College's goalkeeper, was named the conference's defensive player of the week.
