Cricket hosts Merion CC in fall season opener

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The fall cricket season opened Sunday afternoon for Haverford College with a 150-81 loss to visiting Merion Cricket Club on Cope Field.

A young Fords squad was led on the offensive end by Jake Hazen who totaled 25 runs batted in.

Merion gave up four wickets while batting to bowlers Neilay Shah (2), Daniel Waranch (1) and Nick Trickett (1).

Haverford is back in action Sunday, Sept. 22 for a home match against British Officers Cricket Club.
