CLEVELAND – The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) has released its first winter rankings for the 2012-13 Division III Learfield Sports Directors' Cup with Haverford College sitting in 14th place with 293.75 points.
Haverford picked up points in the winter rankings with its ninth place finish at the NCAA's 2013 men's indoor track & field championship where Christopher Stadler captured the individual title in the 5,000-meter run, and the distance medley relay quartet of Ivo Milic-Strkalj, Gebby Keny, Michael Riccio and Jordan Schilit raced to a fourth-place finish. Stadler and the relay foursome earned All-America honors with their finishes at the national meet.
Williams College leads the standings with 375.25 points. Haverford and Johns Hopkins University (third, 357.5 pts.) represent the Centennial Conference within the top 25 of the Cup standings.
Points toward the Learfield Cup championship are awarded based on an institution's finish in up to 18 sports -- nine women's and nine men's.
The next winter sports listing will be released Thursday, March 28.
