Haverford College to host sports career symposium
HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College’s Athletics Department and Career Development Office are combining efforts to host a Sports Careers Symposium on Sunday, Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Chase Auditorium.
The symposium, which was created to address increasing student interest in careers in sports, will include Haverford alumni and friends of the college who currently work in a variety of sectors within the sports world.
The panelists include: Bill Pennington, author and New York Times sports writer; Jon Fetterolf ’93, attorney and certified MLBPA player agent at Williams and Connolly LLP; Meghan Essman, Director of Fan Development and Educational Programs for the Philadelphia Phillies; Tal Alter ’98, Managing Director for Peace Players International and former Senior Development Associate for Positive Coaching Alliance; and Jason Polykoff ’06, Head Boys Basketball Coach at Friends Central School.
The symposium will include a panel discussion, workshops focused on networking and the application/interview process, and a lunch that will serve as an informal breakout session with the panelists.
The symposium is free of charge and open to all students and alumni from the Bi-College community.
