Multimedia tip-off event for men's, women's basketball

LANCASTER, Pa. – The basketball season is right around the corner and the Centennial Conference is set to open the 2012-13 campaign with an innovative idea for its preseason basketball press conference -- live, on-air events utilizing Google+ Hangouts.

Centennial executive director Steve Ulrich and assistant director Jessica Huntley came up with the multimedia idea to move past the tired, stale style of an in-person event which caused coaches to miss valuable time on campus by traveling to a centralized location.

The women's event is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 13 with the men's event to follow on Wednesday. Viewers around the globe can watch each live event while submitting questions via the league's Facebook page or by tweeting using the hashtag #CCTipOff13.

The link to the live broadasts will go live at 12:55 p.m. each day.
