By the numbers, Haverford dominates in the classroom

Lancaster, Pa – With the end of the fall sports seasons, the Centennial Conference has announced its academic honor roll, of which Haverford College landed 65 fall student-athletes on the list. The next closest institution was Swarthmore College with 39 honorees.

The academic honor roll recognizes sophomores, juniors and seniors who are key performers and have a 3.40 cumulative grade point average or higher.

Even more impressive than the total number of Haverford athletes honored was the fact that the Fords took the top spot in the academic listings without football (of which seven conference schools sponsor).

Haverford had 11 student-athletes named to the academic honor roll for the third straight time.

By sport, the Fords were led by 22 men’s cross country runners, followed closely by 11 winners for both women’s cross country and men’s soccer.  Women’s soccer was not far behind with 10 named to the list, while field hockey (eight) and volleyball (three) rounded out the Haverford fall scholars.
