Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Standings
CLEVELAND, OH – Haverford College placed 15th nationally among NCAA Division III institutions in the 2011-12 Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup Standings, as announced on Nov. 23.
Haverford ranks highest among Centennial Conference colleges and universities.
In the top spot was Middlebury (Vt.), followed by Washington University (Mo.), Bowdoin (Maine), Calvin (Mich.) and Williams (Mass.). For a complete list of standings, see the link above.
The standings are the first to be released for the 2011-12 academic year and are compiled using a point system that awards points based on each institutions finish in up to 18 sports (nine women’s and nine men’s).
The Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. The next Division III fall standings will be released on Dec. 8.
